About the Jewelry Designer
About Nurit Niskala - Head Designer
My creations are inspired by my heritage. I learned much of my early jewelry making techniques from my father. He made jewelry in an old fashioned way, combining raw materials from the earth. In my studio I use hand tools and my hands. I utilize the traditional fabrication techniques of sawing, forging, forming, soldering and polishing to transform the materials into a finished jewelry pieces. These include various metals and natural genuine stones.
After NDE (near death experience) I started working professionally in the recycled metal jewelry business three decades ago. Many people call these casual pieces Boho or Bohemian Jewelry. This jewelry is handcrafted one piece at a time or in limited series, inspired by nature, no two are exactly alike.
